Franz Schubert’s String Quintet in C major, D 956
Schubert, one of my favorite composers, is perhaps the best classical tune writer of all time. Here is a fine recording of his String Quintet in C major, D 956 on a Deutsche Grammophon recording. This recording features the Melos Quartett with Mstislav Rostropovich.
The CD recording number is 415373. Now if only the music stores would classify their recordings by number as well as other useful information.
