Beethoven Symphony No. 9
As I work my way down the shelf of CD’s, Beethoven’s 9th symphony was the next one to show up. This symphony happens to be the perennial favorite of KBPS listerners in their Top 100 Countdown. If you look closely around the middle of the KBPS page, you will see that you can download some spreadsheets. Classical music listeners will find those SS of interest.
Now back to my selection of the week, Beethoven’s 9th. My recording is Telarc 80120 and features The Cleveland Orchestra & Chorus conducted by Christoph von Dohnanyi. I’m sure there are more recent and likely superior recordings. However, the price is right on this recording.
