Baroque Brass: Sunday Recommendation
As a former trumpet player, it is difficult for me to pass up any CD with “Brass” in the title. Baroque Brass, featuring The Canadian Brass and The English Chamber Orchestra Brass is a delight. You will be treated to composers such as; Bach, Mouret, Pachelbel, Clark, Banchieri, Gabrieli, Purcell, Biber, and Handel.
This sixty-eight minute CD includes music from Water Music, Little Fugue, Echo Fantasia, to Clark’s Trumpet Voluntary. For many years, Trumpet Voluntary was the entrance music for the graduating class at the school where I taught for thirty-five years.
