Portfolio Performance
The Portfolio Performance data table below is what sets ITA Wealth Management apart from all other blogs. To my knowledge, no other blog on the Internet posts portfolio performance data of real portfolios as you see in the table below. In addition, none show how well portfolios are performing with respect to a benchmark. One of the reasons is that most investors do not have a clue as to how well their portfolios are behaving with respect to a benchmark. In this table, we use both the VTSMX and the ITA Index as benchmarks. Within the TLH spreadsheet we include two more benchmarks for most portfolios. The ITA Index is a benchmark that is customized for each portfolio. It is a recent addition to the spreadsheet.
Examine the right-hand column (IR) and you will see that we are adding additional Information Ratio values for those portfolios tracked by the TLH spreadsheet. Adding IR to these portfolios is a new development this week. In a few cases we do not have sufficient data for the result to be accurate and in other portfolios we still need to manually enter the required raw data.
All but the Maxwell and Euclid portfolios are performing better than the VTSMX benchmark. Considering how difficult it is to perform better than the broad U. S. market, these results need to be taken seriously. It is all about asset allocation. Asset Allocation and transaction details for the Curie, Newton, Schrodinger, Einstein, Kepler, and Bohr portfolios are available to Premium subscribers.

Portfolios with similar starting dates, but very different Information Ratio (IR) values, is due to me not going back as far to pick up raw data for the portfolios tracked by the TLH spreadsheet.
