Beethoven Piano Concerto and Sonata
The CD recommended this week is Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 5 in E flat, “Emperor” Op. 73 and the Piano Sonata, No. 32 in C minor, Op. 111. This is not the first time I recommended the “Emperor.” This recording was from the winner of the International Beethoven Competition in Vienna. Jasminka Stancul is the pianist and the orchestra is conducted by Alexander Rahbari.
Since I missed a recommendation last week, I’ll add a bonus this week. It is Leo Kottke – Instrumentals. This guitar music has a different sound, at least it does for me. I encourage you to listen to some samples to see if you enjoy his music. I do and that is why I include it as another recommendation.
