As one who appreciates classical music, every now and then I will post a recording I particularly appreciate.
One such recording recently came to my attention and I have enjoyed it thoroughly. It is Karl Jenkins, “The Armed Man: A Mass For Peace.” While it is written by a modern composer, do not let that put you off as it is quite “classical” in its sound.

A delightful recording, if you like men’s choral music, is Robert Shaw’s, “Schubert Songs for Male Chorus.” I am a huge fan of Robert Shaw, having heard one of his first choirs in the late 1950’s. Not long after my wife and I had the priviledge of singing Elijah under the direction of a former Shaw choir member. What a treat. The “Schubert Songs” is a Telarc recording, No. CD-80340.

One of the most beautiful recordings of choral music is found on the CD, POSTCARDS by The Turtle Creek Chorale. The selections include music from all over the world. Timothy Seelig conducts the chorale.
This is a Reference Recordings CD, number RR-61.
