<p>One such recording recently came to my attention and I have enjoyed it thoroughly.  It is Karl Jenkins, &#8220;<em><strong>The Armed Man: A Mass For Peace</strong></em>.&#8221;  While it is written by a modern composer, do not let that put you off as it is quite &#8220;classical&#8221; in its sound.</p>

<p>A delightful recording, if you like men&#8217;s choral music, is Robert Shaw&#8217;s, &#8220;<em>Schubert Songs for Male Chorus</em>.&#8221;  I am a huge fan of Robert Shaw, having heard one of his first choirs in the late 1950&#8217;s.  Not long after my wife and I had the priviledge of singing Elijah under the direction of a former Shaw choir member.  What a treat.  The &#8220;Schubert Songs&#8221; is a Telarc recording, No. CD-80340.</p>
