ITA Wealth Management is a site dedicated to helping the individual investor construct and manage their portfolio.
Most investors are interested in making money. However, most are influenced by CNBC, their broker, and the popular press. Few know that the academic research goes against those making a dollar pushing their hyped information. Pay attention to this site and you will learn something about investment research and how to set up a portfolio for the long-run. In addition, you will see a spreadsheet that is designed to not only track the Internal Rate of Return (IRR) of the portfolio, but will do it for a broad market index. Most commercial software will not correctly calculate the IRR for the benchmark.

Keep in mind that two portfolios, the Asset Allocation Mosaic (AA-Mosaic Portfolio) and Mosaic2 are under development and all the details are available in spreadsheets. This spreadsheet not only tracks the Internal Rate of Return (IRR) accurately, but it also does the same for three benchmarks. For the Mosaic portfolios, the VTSMX index fund is our benchmark.
